For the love of all things food and wonderful I thought I would share this germ of a find with you. Twitter is an interesting place to find the most amazing of places to bring that extra special something that will transform your world from ordinary to extraordinary.
While twitting my life away I came across this twitt right here:
I decided to twitt to Anatoli and they replied promptly, inviting me over to their restaurant. Which I certainly will take them up on when next I am in Cape Town.
The point of the story is I looked at their website and wished I could be whisked away from Durban to Cape Town. I advise you to check this place out If you stay in Cape Town or are just visiting. You will fall in love with their food.
The food is simple, variety is big and like Anatoli the theme is truly Turkish. You can find traditional breakfast pastries like simit,poğaça and börek.
We serve Turkish teas and coffee as well as proper Barrista coffee all day long. Lunch is lamb or chicken kebabs, meatballs, falafel and a selection of freshly prepared mezes.
Pide, which is a flat Turkish bread stuffed with different fillings is a must if you haven’t tried it yet. To round off try rustic date and nut tart,Turkish Delight cheese cake or Chocolate and sesame seed tart.
Portions are generous and prices are reasonable and service is, of course excellent. We offer free uncapped Wi-Fi and a fire place for those miserable winter days.

My day at the Tsogo Sun, Suncoast Hotel and Towers Inecto Plus launch started off with a greeting by beautiful Inecto Plus models who welcomed us after-which we were offered colourful drinks while we were introduced to the Inecto Plus team. The setting was nice and cosy with the Inecto models hair coloured and styled beautifully in the Inecto Plus colours.

Gail Mabalane the new face of Inecto Plus is no stranger to being the celebrity representative of a beauty product. Recently announced as the first South African “Face-Of”, international Skin Care Brand “Olay Even and Smooth”, Gail has come a long way from her days of auditioning for idols. She is now an acclaimed actress, singer, Beauty Queen, wife and successful businesswoman. She is young and fresh yet sophisticated and classy, much like the Inecto Plus brand image.” said brand manager Bongi Ntinga
Rupert the Inecto hairstylist shared with us some styling tips, saying when you relax your hair be careful not to use dye/hair colour soon after, wait and let a week or two pass before applying your hair colour. This will avoid your hair from being dried up and damaged. He emphasised the importance of conditioning and moisturising your hair when you have applied colour as colour penetrates deep into your hair.
The Inecto Plus new brand embassador launch was a success, we look forward to seeing more of Gail as the new brand ambassador. She is stunning and humble with brains to match, Inecto could not have chosen a better brand ambassador. I just have to mention this at the launch they had the most amazing beautifully coloured velvet cup cakes and drinks this really tied in with the theme.
Talk about travel and lifestyle at its best, the new British Airways Airbus A380 is a lifestyle experience with its innovative design and style. It was only fitting that international model Georgia May Jagger front the launch of the airline’s South African advertising campaign, with South Africa’s very own Springboks Jean de Villiers and Bryan Habana, who were joined by England captain Chris Robshaw.
The British Airways A380 has made travelling to distant land a lifestyle experience one itches to do just to get into that all new luxury liner. The A380 will begin flying to Johannesburg on 12 February 2014, although the inaugural flight is likely to be earlier.
World Traveller fares from South Africa start at R8 380, World Traveller Plus from R15 380, Club World from R30 380 and First from R53 380. The airline will initially operate three A380 services to Johannesburg a week which will increase from March 10 2014 to six flights. These flights will be part of the airline’s normal schedule to South Africa’s commercial capital.
Since British Airways took delivery of its first superjumbo earlier this month, Johannesburg is only the third A380 route to be confirmed, after Los Angeles and Hong Kong. Another two aircraft, from a total order of 12, are due to be delivered before the end of the year.
British Airways’ A380s can accommodate 469 customers across four cabins. Customers in First will be seated in front of the main deck. The cabin offers 14 seats and is evolved from the existing First class. Club World (business class) customers can choose from 44 seats on the main deck, or 53 seats on the upper deck. The upper-deck seats will be arranged in a new 2:3:2 configuration across the cabin. The 55 World Traveller Plus (premier economy) seats are located on the upper deck, while World Traveller (economy) customers can choose seats on both the main and upper deck.
The aircraft’s innovative design makes it much quieter during take-off and landing and the cabin has the lowest noise level of any existing passenger aircraft. The advanced air conditioning system, with 15 different temperature control zones, contributes to reduced noise levels and customer comfort, with cabin air being changed every three minutes. In addition the A380 It offers exceptional fuel efficiency compared to the aircraft it is replacing.
Bryan Habana, who is taking up a three-year contract with French club side Toulon, says that with the A380 flying to South Africa home won’t seem nearly as far away.
“There are lots of reasons I like flying British Airways and now there’s another one.”
After a tour of the aircraft, Jean de Villiers was particularly impressed by its size: “Seventy-three meters from nose to tail; that’s half the length of Newlands and big enough to carry 31 rugby teams halfway around the world.”
Georgia May Jagger, who visited South Africa for the first time in June last year, said: “I’ve been looking for an excuse to explore more of that incredible country and this provides the perfect opportunity.”
The A380 is part of a £5bn investment over five years in new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges, new technologies and onboard catering to improve the travelling experience and make it easier, more convenient and more comfortable in the air and on the ground.
