Spring is at the door and you might want to get into a good skin care regime before summer. There are many home remedys you can try in the comfort of your own home, the trick is to find one that works well for your skin type.
Fear not for I have a few tips that can help you look radient this summer with just a few ingredients that you can find in your kitchen.
I love using simple ingredients that are readily available to me, because then everything is at arms length and it’s convinient.
I believe that natural products are a wise choice because they are less harmful (if at all) to your skin and good enough to eat, and if one doesn’t work for you you can substitute it with another natural product until you find your perfect fit. The fact that you find these very same ingredients in your store bought beauty products means they are essential to your beauty needs.
Before I proceed to give you the recipe to my simple face masks let me give you this face mask for distressed skin.
INTENSE FACE MASK
– 1 Tsp plain yogurt
– 1 tsp liquid honey
– 1 tsp organic brown sugar
*If you would like to lighten your skin tone add 1 tsp of lemon juice.
Mix all these ingredients together. Apply to your face in small circular motion and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash your face clean with warm water and end off with a splash of cold water.
Here are some simple masks to help you on your way to healthier looking skin:
MASK FOR DRY SKIN
– 2 Tsp plain thick yogurt
– 1 egg yolk or 1 tsp liquid honey
– Few drops cocunut or olive oil
MASK FOR OILY SKIN
– 1 ripe banana
– 1 egg white
– 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or citrus juice
Blend together or mix (mask for dry skin) the ingredients. Apply apply the mask to your face and leave for 10-15 minutes. Cleanse your face thoroughly with warm water then take a splash of cold water.
